Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy used to bring a person to a state of relaxation and help aid the body's own healing process by applying gentle pressure to the feet or hands. Although the techniques involve only direct application to the lower limbs, feet and hands, the benefits are widespread throughout the body. Reflexology can restore joint movement and mobility, relieve tension and fibrous adhesions, therefore reducing pain in these areas. It can enhance concentration, reduce stress and anxiety, promote clear thinking and create a feeling of mental calmness and physical well-being.

How Does It Work?

There are thought to be reflexes in the feet and hands that represent and correspond to all parts of the body. A reflexologist will use their hands to apply pressure to certain areas of your foot or hands, based on where you're experiencing pain or discomfort. Through touch on this area, it promotes energy flow to the area in need of healing, keeping the body balanced and illness free.
